Dimana Zaharieva (b. Sofia, Bulgaria) is a visual artist working primarily in oil, alongside drawing and digital media. Her practice follows a recurring female character through narratives drawn from mythology and contemporary internet culture, treating them as different eras of the same recurring transformations. Her work is shaped by her experience of moving between and existing across cultures. Zaharieva spent her early years in Bulgaria before moving to San Diego, where she received her bachelor’s degree from SDSU. She is currently based in New York.
