Anna Sorokin, better known to the world as Anna Delvey, was born in the Soviet Union in 1991 before immigrating to Germany with her family in 2007. She relocated to New York City in 2013. Since her arrest in 2017 for a variety of offenses, Delvey has exploded into the global conversation, particularly after the release of Netflix’s “Inventing Anna” miniseries earlier this year based on her life. Sorokin's life story has been the subject of multiple other television shows, interviews, podcasts, and theater productions. Delvey’s drawings, created in incarceration, have been featured in the “Free Anna Delvey” art show and “Allegedly” a one-night-only solo exhibition at Manhattan’s Public Hotel earlier this year. The artwork “No Regrets” featured in The Untitled Space’s REBEL Exhibition was created exclusively for the gallery exhibition and coinciding publication, The REBEL Issue, and marks Delvey’s first exhibition as an artist in an established contemporary art gallery.
