"Prana is life-force energy, often referred to as breath. As humanity stands on the threshold of the unknown, it is a gateway to our higher consciousness. Prana reveals our inner world, which reflects the cosmos. It is the creative breath that leads to light and the cosmic energy that binds us together."

Through the artistic process, I create an imaginative response to conflict by transforming images that reference social and environmental issues into moments of transcendence on the canvas. In pursuit of a language that is less borrowed, I experiment with techniques of painting on compositions that hover between abstraction and representation. Through mark-making and the power of ornament my work expresses a need for change and explores the possibility of the new.
