Drawing from her experience as a freediver and underwater photographer, she combines classical technique with contemporary vision to explore fluidity, impermanence, femininity, conservation, and transcendence.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePerlmutter holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from the New York Academy of Art. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Naples Art Institute, Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, and Sotheby’s New York. Her painting was selected as the cover art for Kerry Washington’s memoir Thicker Than Water, and her work has been featured in major publications.
