She earned her BFA from the University of Michigan in 2024 and her MFA in Painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2026. In 2023, she was awarded a residency at Anderson Ranch Art Center through the Stamps School of Art and Design, where she continued developing her complex oil painting technique. I approach painting as a space of synthesis, where natural forms coalesce with inorganic shapes into complex perceptual spaces. Using oil paint on canvas, effervescent fields are charged with movement and biomorphic forms that leap and dance across the surface, encompassing themes of abundance, resilience, exuberance, joy, destiny, hope, and multiplicity. Petals resemble ribbons gliding through the air, penetrating juicy, translucent spheres. A sense of fate, destiny, and divine intervention stems throughout the work, as themes of the divine coincide with the beauty of nature harking towards an intense desire for humanity to become reconnected with love, jubilance, and hope in a better world. These spheres represent the currant, a miraculously resilient flora native to the northern hemisphere; noted for being self fertile, disease resistant, drought tolerant, and able to withstand injury against exposure to temperatures as low as -40° Fahrenheit. Paired with the lily, which is recognized throughout many different cultures to be a symbol for rebirth and hope, they become representations of resilience and perseverance.
