Visual artist Stephanie Day-McGann currently works as both a painter and photographer. She earned a BFA with painting emphasis from Arizona State University, graduating with honors. Her unique painting style is defined by layers upon layers of either oil or acrylic paint, creating the illusion of space between dark and light colors. Subtle influences apparent in her work include Mark Rothko, Gerhard Richter, and Richard Prince. In her conceptual abstract pieces, Day-McGann communicates ideas that touch on religion, current issues, climate change, gender equality, and animal rights. As a photographer, Day-McGann works for top brands and celebrity clientele. Day-McGann’s paintings have been featured in a number of benefits raising funds for charities including CASA, Hospice of the Valley, AHHA, and other organizations. Her paintings are featured in prominent private collections including that of billionaire art collector Steve Tisch, who commissioned her to create a painting for his fiancé. Day-McGann currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
